Mission:  The mission of Immanuel Christian School is to prepare students to meet the challenge of the world and culture they live in as young and growing Christians.  Thus, students are taught the skill of discernment in the light of God’s Word, the practice of stewardship for creation, the required commitment to a life of Christian service, and the beauty of witness through modeling God’s love in a broken world.

From the Principal’s Desk:
Wow, acknowledging God’s hand in all our efforts, we’re completing 1000 hours of classes at Immanuel which brings us to the close of our school year! At our awards assembly this morning we were able to celebrate achievement throughout the year with our final awarding of the WinIt certificates (the Yearbook also recognizes participation in various forms, and will replace those next year), the Public Speaking awards, the Mission Poster awards, and the gr 8 Graduation Awards. I’d also like to recognize our grade 8 graduates and bid them God’s blessings as they pursue their education in high school, “meeting the challenge of the world and culture they live in as young and growing Christians.” Graduates, you have matured and grown so much over your years here - you have also grown into our hearts, and your teachers and I will miss seeing you each school day!

God has blessed us through all the finances that came in, but also through new relationships and rekindled family time together.  THANK YOU!

Universal Bursary Program and Registration: We are asking all parents to confirm their intent to register for 2014-2015, and their intent to apply to the bursary, by June 30 (earlier is better). So far, 26 of our families have completed this process! Are you among them? A hard copy of the form was enclosed with the 4 June Journal, or you may use the shortcut link at: http://goo.gl/4dO2EG. Our bookkeeper, Teresa, will be sending out tuition invoices this week. Do you have questions? Please speak to Keith or Cliff, our new Treasurer. We are excited and we praise God for next year’s enrolment, with potentially 96 students, including 9 JK, 14 SK and 8 new families!

As always, No Frills and Tim Horton gift cards will be available at Roszells, Clovermead and Family Flowers for the summer. We will have some of the other gift cards in stock. Please contact Theressa DeJong or Grace Schipper for these.
The 11 month TRIP year (July 1/13 - May 31/14‎) profit totalled $21,196.18.. Of this total, Fundraising receives $11,762.50 which helped them to reach their budgeted total this year! The rest is designated to individual parents who participated according to their credit earned and a portion goes for administration. Thank you to everyone who supported the TRIP program by purchasing gift cards this year. Thanks.

ICS Fundraising Committee is so excited to announce that the $80,000 fundraising goal for this school year has not only been met, but surpassed!!  We thank God for blessing us all with such a supportive school community and so many talented individuals to organize the opportunities to raise this money.  Thank you to everyone who has participated through the:

Roots in Christ Jesus?
