From the
Principal's Desk:
Our
“upcoming events” section above now features the end of school – exciting news
for our students! I want to encourage
our students to keep their focus for these last few weeks. June makes up 10% of the school year, and we
want to use our time wisely. I would
also encourage all to keep our theme verse in mind, that we are called to love
one another, not because they are always nice to us, but because love comes
from God (1 John 4:7). That love needs
to continue to be demonstrated in our words and actions, in class, in the
halls, on the playground and on our buses.
In line with the track and field competition ongoing today, “let us run
with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1). We want to finish
well!
in
Christian instruction,
Keith
Cameron, Principal
Praying
for our Students:
Last week we prayed for the grade 1 and 2 class.

for our Staff: This
week we will pray for Ms. Buma

Baked Goods, Epicure Order pickup on Thursday, June 6 between 2:30 – 4 p.m.
GIFTS Program: June 30 is the deadline. If you have completed your

please contact the office for more details.
Thursday, June 13 is a PD
day for
ICS (staff report card writing day) and also an exam study day for LDCSS.
Cheese: because our supplier had some items on back
order our cheese delivery will be on Monday, June 10, instead of Thursday, June
6th.
From T.R.I.P.: Our last order for the summer so stock up if you
wish. Orders are due Thurs. June 13 with
delivery on Thurs. on June 20th.
The next order goes out with the back to school letter in August, due on
Thursday Sept. 5 with delivery on Thurs. Sept. 12
Included
with this Journal is the last TRIP form for this school year. For the summer
months please continue to purchase No Frill/Tim Horton's gift cards at our
locations in the community. They are Clovermead, Roszells, Family Flowers. If
you need other gift cards, we may have them in stock. Please contact either
Theressa DeJong at 519-765-3372 or Grace Schipper at 519-317-1518. We ask for
at least 24 hours notice. If you are a family that is 'graduating' out of
ICS and have your child/ren enrolled in LDCSS, you can continue to purchase gift
cards through ICS and have your TRIP credit applied to your LDCSS tuition. If
you and your family have not 'jumped on board' with the TRIP gift card program,
we encourage you to do so. Presently this is the only way you can reduce your
tuition. There are families that reduce their tuition by over $1000 by
faithfully purchasing gift cards. Please contact Theressa or Grace to get
set up and/or to answer any questions you may have about the program.
Lost and Found Items: Please check the lost and found table for any items
