From the Principal’s Desk:
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Those oft-quoted words form the core of our hopes and faith in establishing, sustaining and celebrating Christian schools! As a parent, I dearly want all my children to be faithfully following their Lord as adults. In doing so, they will also be serving to grow the Kingdom in whichever walk of life they are called. No Christian school is perfect, ICS is not perfect, but we as a community are united in our desire to point towards Christ and His perfection in all areas of education. This time begins (already!) our 2017/2018 enrolment, and we want to both reflect on why we have chosen Christian education as well as engage in conversations with friends and acquaintances - word of mouth is our best advertising!
We have our New Parent Information Night this Friday. Next year’s enrolment continues to fill our classrooms, with potentially gr 1/2, gr 2/3, gr 4/5 gr 5/6 and gr 7/8 classes. Currently, we have openings in JK, SK, and grades 4-8. We would currently have a wait list for grades 1-3. Of course, we want to create space for any additional enrolments, but we need enough growth to allow us to hire responsibly. In order to best serve all students and parents, we need to hear from our current parents a bit earlier than normal. We are asking you to confirm your registration for 2017/2018 using the link at https://goo.gl/aVpUx5 by Friday 17 Feb. Thank-you for your help in this.
In Christian education, Keith Cameron, Principal and Chief Operating Officer
