CTBS
tests are taking place in the grade 3 through 8 classes in the mornings after
recess. These tests can be challenging - please encourage your children
or grandchildren to persevere! Our main aim is a standardized comparison
against OACS students, and across the nation. However, the discipline
required by test-taking is a useful by-product too. Students do not
really suffer while completing their tests, but I recall Paul's writing in
Romans 5:4-5 that, "we know that suffering
produces perseverance; perseverance,
character; and character, hope." Challenges are a necessary
part of schooling, and indeed of life in general. Rising to a challenge
does develop character, which is also what we are about at ICS. Keep on
working, students!
RIDE for Refuge: Praise God for generous hearts and motivated individuals seeking RIDE sponsorships! Even downplaying the event this year, as a RIDE partner ICS has raised over $4400 in donations. Donations all go to worthy, mainly Christian causes seeking to provide relief, food, shelter, medical aid, education, settlement or legal aid to those in need. As an approved partner, ICS expects to receive 70% of our sponsorship as a grant towards our Compassion Child and to our Tuition Assistance fund! We look forward to supporting RIDE for Refuge 2013 with enthusiastic students, cyclists and sponsors!

Please
be advised that effective October 29,
2012 the bus routes for Case and Anita will have some changes. Please take
note in the difference in pickup times and drop off times. For various reasons we have had to make some
changes in the bus routes.

prior to time listed.
