ICS/LDCSS P.A. Day – no school
From the
Principal's Desk:
It
was very good to begin Easter weekend, celebrating with our grandparents and
senior friends! We hosted about 100 grandparents, and enjoyed sharing our
classrooms, the hospitality provided by the Promotions Committee and Ladies
Auxiliary, and the arts-themed class performances. Many thanks to all who
made this day a success!
As
we return from the holiday, I have two exciting announcements. Firstly, I
am pleased to announce that following our selection process, Mrs Lydia Bergen
has accepted an offer to become the new ICS janitor, starting officially on 1
May. Welcome! Secondly, following
a consultation with his surgeon, Mr Evert TenBruggencate will be able to
resume teaching at 25%. We look forward
to seeing him back teaching! He will
start when Mrs Georgie Rodenburg completes her short-term teaching contract on
12 Apr. We'll see how things progress from there, but Mr T has expressed
an intent of keeping the 25% until June, while he still has lots of physio to
do for regaining full mobility. We do
thank God for Mr T's healing to date!
Yours in Christ,
Keith Cameron, Principal
Praying
for our Families:
Last week we prayed for Jeff & Marleen VandenBrink and Ken &
Paddi Vandendool.
Praying
for our Staff: This
week we will pray for Ms. Pieters and continued healing for Mr. TenBruggencate.
Our
condolences to the Graham & Janet Saarloos and family and Alec and Elaine
Saarloos and family in the passing away of their mother Mrs. Saarloos last
week. Also to Chris and Chantelle Bakker
and family in the passing away of a grandmother and great-grandmother to their
children. May God comfort and uphold
these families as they deal with the loss of a mother, grandmother and a great
grandmother.
