From the Principal’s Desk:
This is an exciting time of year: children play in the sun, leaving winter jackets aside, our hockey team is competing, March Break approaches, with Easter close behind (and it’s my wife’s birthday today!).
Amidst many exciting things, let me encourage you in two important ICS things. (1) As reports come home today, please take time right away to complete the “Let’s Connect to Grow” form with your gr 1-8 child(ren). If your child receives resource assistance, or if you want to connect, please book in conferences for right after March Break. (2) If you have not yet done so, please complete the registration confirmation and deposit for next year. It looks like we will have limited spaces for new families at all grade levels - there still is some room, please spread the word to families considering ICS!
God’s blessings for an enjoyable March Break!
in Christian education, Keith Cameron, Principal and Chief Operating Officer
Praying for our parents: Please join us as we pray for Keith & Ellyn Sinke & Ken & Paddi Vandendool

Report Cards & Parent-Teacher conferences: Term 2 report cards will be sent home today. The second set of Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on March 23rd after returning from March Break. Parents of children in Resource should book with both the homeroom and resource teachers. We will again be using our online system: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Immanuel_Christian_School. Appointments with Mrs. Cameron & Mrs. Schuurman are also available, though they may be scheduled separately depending on their after-hours music teaching schedules. Please call the school office if you have any problems with booking your appointment. They are on a first come, first serve basis.
Tuition Reduction Incentive Plan (T.R.I.P): Order due today with pickup on March 24th.
Cheese orders: Next order will be sent out March 23rd.
Meat & Baked Goods: Pick-up will be on March 24th. Coolers with names on them can be dropped off ahead of time and are greatly appreciated.
The Meat & Baked Good Fundraiser wants YOU!!!
Approx 6 hrs of volunteer hours are earned with every sale...times that by 4 sales a year and it would be about 24 hrs per school year! As a committee we gather info from varies companies about their products and any price changes, assemble the order form for the journal, tally orders and fax the companies then when day of pick up comes we sort the products into separate orders for customers to pick up. We would love to see your new face helping on the committee! Come and join us! Please contact the office if you are interested.
We’ve had a few Remind messages for bus cancellations, and the system appears to be working well! If you did not get a Remind message, text @icsbus to (226) 774-0016, or send an email to email@example.com.
ANOTHER successful FRIDAY FAMILY FUN NIGHT! Thank you to all the wonderful last minute volunteers who made the evening run so efficiently and smooth - each one of you is a blessing to our school!

The Yearbook committee is looking for a few people who would be interested in creating a few pages for the ICS student yearbook. The students love reminiscing about all they have done at ICS, This would be another great way to get some volunteer hours for the school. Please let the office know soon, so we can begin designing the 2015/16 yearbook.
