From the Principal’s Desk:
This is the time of year when we confirm contract details with our teachers, and they confirm their intent to teach for another year with us. Mrs Tilda VanderHoek recently let us know that, after much prayerful reflection, she will not be accepting the offer to renew her contract. She states that “working as a teacher  at this Christ-centred school has been a privilege and a blessed experience.” Although she will miss her work here, she looks forward to new opportunities to support her family and to serve her community. She’s not prepared to call it retirement yet, though. We will be so very sorry to lose her after 28+ years with us, sharing her heart and expertise with students in a variety of positions, most recently in the delivery of our resource program! Our teachers become so much a part of our school, and their impact stretches across generations. As a school community, we will have an opportunity to express our thanks to her at the end of the year, likely alongside Graduation or the final Family Fun Night. It will be a goodbye in the original sense of the word: “God be with ye”, Tilda and Syd, as our paths diverge...
Please keep our transitions in your prayers: Mr Evert TenBruggencate as he moves to a part-time position, and Mrs Tilda VanderHoek as she reorients her life to support family. Please also pray for those teachers who God would lead our way. We are now seeking applicants for two positions (descriptions below).
in Christian education, Keith Cameron, Principal and Chief Operating Officer
Praying for our parents: Please join us as we pray for Henry & Margaret Voth as well as Pete & Charlena Ypma. We can also report that Sam Vannoord (gr8) underwent a succesful surgery on Monday.
Praying for our staff: Please pray for our Gr 1 teacher Ms. Pieters.
REMINDERS:
